Rage Against The Dying Of The Light

About this piece

This tattoo was inspired by the poem "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, one of his best-known works with its refrain "rage, rage against the dying of the light." I took a loose interpretive approach to the design, incorporating elements that I associated emotionally with the poem, like a whirling dervish and a famous scene from the movie "The Seventh Seal" where death leads a band of merry travelers to their demise.
